You don’t have to journey to exotic place to get meditation retreat. We can help you to connect with yourself and the natural world inside the city. We will practice sitting meditations at our center and practice two-mile walking meditation at natural park nearby if weather permits us. This one day retreat offers multiple meditation sessions, stretching exercise, and personal time. After each guided session,  we offer opportunities to ask questions and discuss ways to integrate experiences into daily life.

LP Suwed-1Teaching Monk: Venerable Suwed Pathammavanso began practicing meditation with MDC 8 years ago. He has been a monk for three years and has been teaching Buddhism and meditation in the UK, Switzerland, the US, and Thailand. He recently participated in 5 strenuous Walking Meditations for 30 days each in Thailand. Through his personal experience on the walking and sitting meditation, he has profound knowledge on meditation and would like to share his insight with everyone.

Location: Meditation Center of D.C. and if weather permits us, we will practice walking meditation after lunch time
