Meditation is a state of ease, inner peace and happiness that we can bring into being. It is no mystery but something which can be easily practiced as follows:
1. Recollect all good deeds you have done until you feel as if your whole body filled with tiny particles of goodness.
2. Sit upright with your right leg on your left leg. Rest your right hand on your left hand with the tip of your right index finger should touch your left thumb. Find a position of poise for yourself.
3. Softly close your eyes as if you were falling asleep. Don’t squeeze your eyes shut and make sure you have no tension across your eyebrows.
4. Relax every part of your body, make sure there are no signs of tension on your forehead or across your shoulders. Create a feeling of ease in your body and mind.
5. Imagine a bright and flawless crystal ball as the object of your meditation floating at the center of your body. At the same time, softly repeat the sound of the mantra “Samma Araham” over and over again.
6. Maintain a feeling of ease. If the crystal ball should disappear, don’t feel disappointed- simply imagine a new crystal ball in place of the old.
7. The mind will adjust itself until it comes to a perfect standstill. End your meditation session by spreading the inner peace to all living beings regardless of their race, nationality and faith, and even your personal feelings:
