Focusing Mind by Meditation

In today meditation session, Venerable Nattawat asked if we use Fresnel lens to capture the light and focus it into a small point, is the area surrounding that point dark or bright? The answer is dark since all the light was already captured into one beam.
It is comparable to how we capture and focus our mind into one spot by meditation. When our mind are united as one at the center of body, we don’t feel or think anything else except feeling blissful. No other thought or feeling will occur in our mind. If we notice, we will see that we can have only one feeling at a time. Imagine if we unite our mind at all time, we won’t have worry or problem in our life. Because we maintain blissful state of the mind at all time.
How can we get to that point? Practice meditation regularly, he emphasized. Homework for meditators this week, meditate half an hour a day everyday especially after you wake up.
